Travel in Morocco:

4th day:

this morning is the traffic noise that wakes us up, it is cooler, I want to open a small grocery store on the street in front to get bread while Kathy range business, we later we will stop for breakfast.

the road that we follow through large areas dry up Boudnib.

suggesting some landscapes in Nevada, and the temperature rises quickly.

In one village a sign catches my attention, a remainder of the Protectorate, when we could go to Algeria by road and border Figuig

we also see the first herds of camels, it is a sign that the Sahara is at hand!

we arrive at the source of blue Meski at lunchtime, we stationnons under the palms, push touts of all kinds and will eat at the only restaurant of the place.

Very nice meal and good, young people outside of the corner like crazy fun in the pool

And the contrast is striking between the excitement of the pool and the quietness of the source, acting as a parking site, terrace is arranged to have a view on the old casbahs.

after lunch, we resume our journey in the sumptuous setting of the Ziz Valley, it is along this river that is lost in the sands of the desert, a palm green with crops and small gardens.

a snake that will green up to Erfoud, where we ferron full of diesel, some shopping and a mint tea before joining Rissani and Merzouga.

in Merzouga, we will spend the night camping in the "ocean of dunes, ideally situated at the foot of the great dunes of Erg Cheb.

It is very hot in the late afternoon, we moved, and after having ordered the dinner, we are going to climb the dunes with Jérémy is for him a first set foot in the sand Sahara!

the sun sets on our return, but the temperature does not drop nearly!

what is extraordinary is that water is less than 3 meters under the sand at the foot of the dunes, is a network of wells that allows people to live here.

in this kind of well that we draw water, and there are dozens!

back at the campsite, dinner us an excellent meal prepared by one of 3 brothers who take this relay, and it is with them that we will extend the evening with a glass of tea, it must be said that we are their only customers this season!

here in the desert, the total calm, and under the stars that we endormons.

5th day:

this morning it's overcast, it was already very hot, leaving our guests we say that even for them it's too hot!

Rissani we pass through its door is one of the most beautiful we've seen:

we take the road to Zagora, but according to the information we have given the brothers Oubadi, the trail connecting to Alnif Tinerhir is now partially paved.

We'll see once Alnif!

This part of Morocco is also little frequented by tourists and yet reserve some nice surprises, the villages are still living to the rhythm of the harvests everywhere and the welcome is warm.

The landscapes are also different and the vegetation becomes more scarce.

we enter Alnif but can not find this famous road, a passerby tells us how to join, it's a track that begins in the village, and he said the tar is a little further ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ....

But in Morocco, "a little" is sometimes "a lot"!

This will be only 24 km of track that makes its appearance tar!

but if you take this route, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and a tourism still preserved and these misdeeds.

So, thanks, keep it!

It is time for lunch, we stop at the restaurant of a service station at the entrance to Tinerhir is also a stop for the bus, we order tagine, it will be one of the best (and least expensive) that we have eaten in Morocco!

comme quoi, do not hesitate to enter into this kind of establishment!
After this excellent meal we head towards the gorges of Todra, we do not know if we can spend with the campers, some caution, we will quickly set!

the entrance to the valley:

after a short pass, we descend on the river, Moroccans are washing their cars with children, and a "gatekeeper" we shall, in the gorges is payante (DHM 10) but the site is really worth of eye!

a host of local come here to seek the cool, business is also very present.

the road does not look so bad as that, we will try to reach the village of Tamtattouchte, but due to heavy spring rain, it spoils quickly, the road is cut in places and we are forced to move in the wadi, or worse, on portions that are waiting for our passage to collapse!

but we move! and it applies here too the glance! grandiose landscapes, the temperature drops to as our ascent, it is pleasant.

we arrive at Tamtattouche here ends our route to reach the Dades gorges do the runway, it is imperative to a 4x4.

We therefore turned repassons these magnificent gorges to reach the road Boulmane Dades, gateway to the gorges of the same name.
